Khailynn's Lens: Reflection

April 30, 2018

For my last “Lens”, I wanted to reflect on how interning at CHAW and becoming part of the community here has supported my artistic and professional development in so many ways.

What attracted me to CHAW initially was a desire to learn more about the classes they offered. And while I did get to know more about their amazing programming, I was also able to gain a deeper understanding about an organization that embraces and encourages both professional and aspiring artists. It was a dream come true!

As a social media intern for CHAW, I've come to understand the importance of voice, visuals and structure when utilizing marketing platforms for businesses, and have realized just how carefully crafted an online identity must be.  Here are some samples of my work:

Conveying detailed and descriptive information in a style that stays true to the casual and friendly nature of CHAW has helped me develop my writing skills and bring a new focus to my design work.  (The last one is my favorite!)

CHAW has given me a great platform for developing as a graphic designer and artist.  I look forward to using the things I’ve learned here to continue that I move forward in my career.
