Harmonica Beginners Workshop

October 30, 2012

Music changes people, it changes how they feel about themselves, and it gives them a unique way to communicate with each other and their audience. The biggest step people ever take is from not playing an instrument to playing a little. That’s why, after nearly 20 years of offering this workshop, I still look forward to teaching it.

People who come to this workshop have all made a positive decision for change. Some are just coming to learn something new, but others are there to challenge deep beliefs about themselves and their relationship with music. They come from diverse backgrounds and span the age range. It’s a great experience to be part of such a positive group, and it’s easy to have fun on a day like this.

Students almost always exceed their expectations. By the end of the day, they can play a simple tune, make their harmonica sound like a
steam train and have played their first blues solo. My expectations from the Harmonica Beginners Workshop are to watch people to learn, enjoy themselves and meet some great new people. I am never disappointed.
